Subhash Nagre alias Sarkar (Amitabh Bachchan) is the same fascist with good heart. He continues his strong hold on Maharashtra politics and state affairs. Sarkar’s power is owed to huge mass following among poor people. But again his opposition is within his family.

Sarkar’s grandson Shivaji Nagre(Amit Sadh) has got mixed feelings for his grandfather. Enemies take advantage of this and they provoke Shivaji against his powerful grandpa. Yami Gautam is Shivaji’s girlfriend. Jackie is the cronie capitalist who’s looking for an oppurtunity to eliminate Sarkar. Will the enemies be successful or Sarkar remains unbeatable for the third time?

When Ram Gopal Varma came up with ‘Sarkar’, his direct tribute to Hollywood classic ‘The Godfather’ 12 years back, Bollywood audience were thrilled. Amitabh Bachchan’s look much similar to Bal Thackeray created huge buzz. Sarkar Raj, the sequel didn’t create much of an impact. RGV completes the trilogy with Sarkar 3.

Plot is pretty close to the two parts that released earlier. Political biggies and buisinessmen conspire to get rid of Sarkar. They make use of a ‘Fair & Lovely’ beauty Yami Gautam to turn grandson Amit Sadh against Sarkar (Bachchan). The coup planned between four walls forms the crux. Varma packages it with his weird camera angles and Sanskrit chant background score.

Stellar starcast is the major plus point of the film. Besides Big B, the amazing performances of award winning actors like Manoj Bajpai, Ronit Roy, Supriya Pathak, Rohini Hatangadi and Jackie Shroff also keeps the film somewhat engaged. Varma seems to have attempted modernday Mahabharatha with Sarkar series. Some dialogues are terrific. Ganesh-aarti song crooned by Bachchan himself is stays for long.
